Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2337

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought a load of tree leaves from a Bedouin. When the deal was concluded, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have the choice (to cancel the sale)." The Bedouin said: May Allah lengthen your life, you are a most excellent trader.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: According to the preceding discussion this hadith is sahih. Ibn Wahb is 'Abd Allah bin Wahb.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (1249) and Ibn Majah (2184) recorded it through 'Abd Allah bin Wahb. Al-Tirmidhi called it "sahih gharib".
Reference / Source: Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah narrated it with the chain Ibn Jurayj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Tawus, as "mursal" (al-Daraqutni 2869).
Technical note: Tawus's son 'Abd Allah ('Abd al-Razzaq 14261, al-Tahawi 5292, al-Bayhaqi 5/ 271) also narrated it from his father as mursal. Apparently Abu al-Zubayr has two teachers for it: Jabir bin 'Abd Allah and Tawus.
Technical note: It is also possible that Abu al-Zubayr heard it from Tawus and Tawus from Jabir, and that Abu al-Zubayr committed tadlis. Either way the hadith is sahih, because the intermediary (Tawus) is thiqah (trustworthy).
