Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1900

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Allahumman-fa'ni bima 'allamtani, wa 'allimni ma yanfa'uni, warzuqni 'ilman tanfa'uni bih' (O Allah, benefit me through what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and grant me knowledge through which You benefit me).
This hadith is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This chain is "hasan" on account of Usamah bin Zayd al-Laythi and Sulayman bin Musa al-Ashdaq; however, Usamah has been corroborated. Al-Rabi' bin Sulayman: he is al-Muradi; and Makhul: he is the Syrian narrator.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam al-Nasa'i (7819) with the chain Yunus bin Abd al-A'la from Abd Allah bin Wahb.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tabarani in "al-Awsat" and "Musnad al-Shamiyyin" via Umarah bin Ghaziyyah from Sulayman al-Ashdaq.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Its supporting report (shahid) is the hadith of Abu Hurayrah narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3599) and Ibn Majah, but its chain is weak.
