أخبرَناه إسماعيل بن محمد بن الفضل بن محمد الشَّعراني، حدثنا جدِّي، حدثنا إسماعيل بن أبي أُوَيس، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم، عن سُهيل بن أبي صالح، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، عن رسول الله ﷺ نحوَه (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه، والذي عندي أنه تَرَكَه لأنَّ أبا إسحاق الفَزَاريَّ أوقَفَه عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة:

The like of the previous narration is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. My view is that Imam Muslim left it out because Abu Ishaq al-Fazari narrated it from al-A'mash as mawquf (stopping at the Companion).

Grading: The hadith is sahih, and the chain is "hasan" because of Isma'il bin Abi Uways, and he has been corroborated.
وأخرجه النسائي (10169) من طريق أبي مصعب أحمد بن أبي بكر، عن ابن أبي حازم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (10169) narrated it by way of Abu Mus'ab Ahmad bin Abi Bakr, from Ibn Abi Hazim, with this chain.
