Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1802

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in three types of ihram: some of us entered ihram for both Hajj and Umrah (qiran), some for Hajj alone (ifrad), and some for Umrah alone. Whoever had entered ihram for both Hajj and Umrah did not come out of any of the prohibitions until he had completed the rites of Hajj; and whoever had entered ihram for Hajj alone also did not come out of it until the rites of Hajj were completed. But whoever had entered ihram for Umrah alone came out of ihram after performing tawaf of the House of Allah and sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and then (later) entered ihram for Hajj.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
