It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to carry Zamzam water (with her to Madinah) and she would say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to do so.

Grading: The chain is "hasan" because of Khallad bin Yazid al-Ju'fi; al-Dhahabi called him trustworthy (thiqah) and Ibn Hajar called him truthful (saduq). al-Tirmidhi called this hadith hasan, and it also has supporting reports. Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi (963) with this same chain from Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin al-'Ala', and he called it "hasan gharib". Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A supporting report for it is the narration of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) in al-Bayhaqi (5/202), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message from Madinah to Suhayl bin 'Amr asking him to send them Zamzam water, and he sent two water-skins. al-Bayhaqi's chain for it is "hasan". Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A similar narration is also reported from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in al-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi, which is "hasan" as a supporting report. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The "mursal" narration of 'Abdullah bin 'Abd al-Rahman with the same meaning is also found in 'Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Sa'd, and its narrators are trustworthy. General principle: According to Taqi al-Din al-Fasi, taking Zamzam water out of Makkah is permissible according to all four schools, and is even recommended (mustahabb) according to the Malikis and Shafi'is.
