Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1796

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Hajjaj bin Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever suffers a broken bone or becomes lame has come out of ihram (he may release himself from ihram), and Hajj is due upon him again the following year." Ikrimah said: I told this to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them), and they said: "Al-Hajjaj has spoken the truth."
