مَنْ كُسِرَ أَوْ عَرَجَ فَقَدْ حَلَّ وَعَلَيْهِ حَجَّةٌ أُخْرَى
Whoever suffers a fracture or becomes lame is released (from ihram) and owes another Hajj

أخبرنا علي بن حَمْشاذ العدلُ، حدثنا هشام بن علي، حدثنا أبو النُّعمان عارِمٌ، حدثنا عبد الوارث بن سعيد، حدثني الحجاج بن أبي عثمان، حدثني يحيى بن أبي كثير، أنَّ عِكْرِمة مولى ابن عباس حدثه، قال: حدثني الحجّاج بن عمرو الأنصاري، أنه سمع رسولَ الله ﷺ: "مَن كُسِرَ أو عَرَجَ فقد حلَّ، وعليه حَجّةٌ أخرى". قال: فحدثتُ ابن عباس وأبا هريرةَ فقالا: صَدَق (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط البخاري، ولم يُخرجاه. وقيل: عن عكرمة، عن عبد الله بن رافع مولى أم سلمة، عن الحجاج بن عمرو:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Hajjaj bin Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever suffers a broken bone or becomes lame has come out of ihram (he may release himself from ihram), and another Hajj is due upon him." The narrator said: I told this to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them), and both of them said: "He has spoken the truth."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو النعمان: هو محمد بن الفضل السدوسي، وعارم لقبه. وسلف برقم (1743).
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Abu al-Nu'man is Muhammad bin al-Fadl al-Sadusi, whose nickname is "'Arim". This narration has also passed earlier at number (1743).
