وحدَّثَناه أبو بكر محمد بن أحمد بن بالَويهِ، حدثنا إسحاق بن الحسن بن ميمون، حدثنا عفّان بن مسلم، حدثنا أبو يحيى رجاء بن يحيى (3)، حدثنا مُسافِع ابن شَيْبة، قال: سمعتُ عبد الله بن عمرٍو أنشَدَ بالله ثلاثًا - ووَضَعَ إِصْبَعَيهِ فِي أُذُنيه -: لَسَمعتُ رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "الرُّكنُ والمَقَام ياقوتَتَان من يَوَاقيتِ الجنة، طَمَسَ الله نُورَهما، ولولا ذلك لأضاءتا ما بينَ المَشرِقِ والمَغرِب" (1). وهذا شاهدٌ لحديث الزُّهري عن مُسافِع.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that, swearing by Allah three times and placing his fingers in his ears, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Black Corner and the Station of Ibrahim are two rubies from among the rubies of Paradise. Allah Almighty has extinguished their light, and had that not been so, they would have illuminated everything between the east and the west."
This hadith is a supporting narration (shahid) for the hadith of al-Zuhri from Musafi'.

(3) كذا وقع هذا الاسم هنا، قال الذهبي في "التلخيص": كذا قال عفان: حدثنا رجاء بن يحيى، وصوابه: رجاء أبو يحيى. قلنا: لكن عفان قاله على الصواب: رجاء أبو يحيى، قاله عنه أحمد وابنه عبد الله في "المسند" 11 / (7008)، فيحتمل أنَّ الخطأ ممن هو دونه، وقد أخطأ فيه أيضًا يونس بن محمد المؤدب عند أحمد في الموضع المذكور فقال: رجاء بن يحيى، والصواب أنه أبو يحيى رجاء بن صبيح الحرشي، والله أعلم.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The name appears here in this form. Al-Dhahabi said in "al-Talkhis" that 'Affan said "Raja' bin Yahya narrated to us", whereas the correct name is "Raja' Abu Yahya".
Important point: We say: 'Affan stated it correctly, namely "Raja' Abu Yahya", as Imam Ahmad and his son Abd Allah narrated from him in "al-Musnad" (11/ 7008), so it is possible that the error came from a narrator below him.
Note / Clarification: Yunus bin Muhammad al-Mu'addib also erred at the same place in Musnad Ahmad, saying "Raja' bin Yahya", whereas the correct name is "Abu Yahya Raja' bin Subayh al-Harashi". And Allah knows best.

Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Raja' Abu Yahya,
Criticism of a narrator: Ibn Ma'in and Abu Hatim declared him weak; Ibn Khuzaymah said: I do not take the report of someone like him as proof; al-Dhahabi said in "al-Talkhis" that he is not strong.
Important point: Moreover, the preponderant view is that this report is mawquf, as has already passed at no. (1695).
وأخرجه أحمد (7000) عن عفان بن مسلم، بهذا الإسناد. وقد قال عفان هناك: حدثنا رجاء أبو يحيى، يعني على الصواب.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at (7000) by way of 'Affan bin Muslim with this same chain.
Important point: And there 'Affan correctly said "Raja' Abu Yahya narrated to us".
وأخرجه أحمد (7008) عن يونس بن محمد المؤدب، والترمذي (878) من طريق يزيد بن زريع، وابن حبان (3710) من طريق هدبة بن خالد، ثلاثتهم عن رجاء أبي يحيى، به. كذا سماه يزيد بن زريع، وهو نفسه رجاء بن صبيح الحرشي كما سماه هدبة بن خالد، أما يونس فقال: رجاء بن يحيى، وهو خطأ.

Note / Clarification: Yazid bin Zuray' called him by this name (Raja' Abu Yahya), and he is Raja' bin Subayh al-Harashi, as Hudbah bin Khalid named him, whereas Yunus said "Raja' bin Yahya", which is a mistake.
قال الترمذي: هذا يروى عن عبد الله بن عمرو موقوفًا قوله. وانظر "علل" ابن أبي حاتم (899).
