Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: We entered Makkah at the time of mid-morning (duha). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the door of the mosque, made his she-camel kneel, and entered the mosque. He (peace and blessings be upon him) began with the Black Stone and touched it, and his eyes filled with tears. Then he did ramal for three circuits and walked at a normal pace for four circuits until he completed the tawaf. Then he kissed the Black Stone, placed both his hands on it, and wiped them over his blessed face.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

7/ 535. Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak), because Nu'aym bin Hammad is alone in narrating it with this wording and he is prone to errors; moreover, Muhammad bin Ishaq is a mudallis and he narrated it with 'an'anah. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: However, touching the Black Stone, and walking briskly (ramal) in three circuits and at a normal pace in four, are established through other sahih chains, and Ibn Kathir also supported it. Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi narrated it at 5/ 74 with the chain of Imam al-Hakim. Reference / Source: Ibn Khuzaymah (2713) narrated it by way of Muhammad bin Yahya al-Dhuhli from Nu'aym bin Hammad. Reference / Source: Ahmad, Muslim (1218 and elsewhere), Ibn Majah, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban narrated it with the chain of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq from his father Muhammad al-Baqir from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah, he touched the Black Stone, then walked to its right, performing ramal in three circuits and walking at a normal pace in four circuits." Important point: The wording quoted is that of Sahih Muslim. (3944). Details of the narration: This is part of the long hadith of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Hajj, which Imam Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i and others narrated in full. (1259) (227). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The supporting report for his (peace and blessings be upon him) entering Makkah in the forenoon (duha) is the hadith of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated by al-Bukhari (1573) and Muslim (1259). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The supporting report for kissing the Black Stone is the hadith of 'Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), which will come next.
