Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1619

حدَّثَناه أبو النَّضر الفقيه، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدّارمي، حدثنا سَهْل بن بَكَّار وموسى بن إسماعيل، قالا: حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن ثابت، عن أبي رافع، عن أُبي بن كعب: أنَّ النبي ﷺ كان يَعتَكفُ العشرَ الأواخرَ من رمضان، فسافر عامًا فلم يَعتكِف، واعتَكَفَ من العام المُقبِل عشرين ليلةً (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. One year he (peace and blessings be upon him) travelled and so could not observe i'tikaf; then the following year he (peace and blessings be upon him) observed i'tikaf for twenty nights.

(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو النضر الفقيه: هو محمد بن محمد بن يوسف، وموسى بن إسماعيل: هو التبوذكي، وثابت: هو ابن أسلم البناني، وأبو رافع: هو نفيع الصائغ.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Criticism of a narrator: Its narrators include Abu al-Nadr al-Faqih (Muhammad bin Muhammad), Musa bin Isma'il (al-Tabudhaki), Thabit al-Bunani and Abu Rafi' (Nufay' al-Sa'igh).
وأخرجه أبو داود (2463) عن موسى بن إسماعيل، بهذا الإسناد.

وأخرجه أحمد 35/ (21277)، وابن ماجه (1770)، والنسائي (3330) و (3375)، وابن حبان (3663) من طرق عن حماد بن سلمة، به.
