أخبرنيه أبو الطاهر عبد الله بن محمد الدِّهْقان، حدثنا أبو بكر بن رجاء ابن السِّنْدي، حدثنا عباس بن عبد العظيم العَنبَري ومحمد بن أبي عتَّاب قالا: حدثنا يحيى بن حمَّاد، حدثنا أبو عَوَانة، عن أبي بَلْج، عن أبي بكر بن أبي موسى، عن أبيه عبد الله بن قيس، عن النبي ﷺ نحوه (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Abdullah bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said something similar about the plague (that it is a piercing of the jinn).

(1) إسناده حسن كسابقه من أجل أبي بلج. أبو بكر بن رجاء: هو محمد بن محمد بن رجاء الإسفراييني الحافظ، وأبو عوانة: هو وضَّاح اليَشْكُري.
Grading: Because of Abu Balj, this chain too, like the previous narration, is "hasan".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Bakr bin Raja' is al-Hafiz "Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Raja' al-Isfarayini", and Abu Awanah is "Waddah al-Yashkuri".
وأخرجه أحمد 32 / (19708) عن بكر بن عيسى، عن أبي عوانة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it (32/19708) through the chain of Bakr bin Isa from Abu Awanah.
