حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن سِنَان القَزَّاز، حدثنا أبو عامرٍ العَقَديُّ، حدثنا زَمْعةُ بن صالح، عن سَلَمة بن وَهْرام، عن عِكرِمة، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "استَعِينوا بطعام السَّحَر على صيامِ النَّهار، وبقَيْلُولة النَّهار على قيام الليل" (1). زَمعةُ بن صالح وسَلَمَةُ بن وَهْرامَ ليسا بالمتروكَين اللَّذَين لا يُحتَجُّ بهما، لكنَّ الشيخين لم يُخرجا عنهما، وهذا من غُرَر الحديث في هذا الباب.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek help from the pre-dawn meal (suhur) for the day's fast, and seek help from the midday rest (qaylulah) for standing in prayer at night."
Zam'ah bin Salih and Salamah bin Wahram are not abandoned narrators who cannot be used as evidence, but the two Shaykhs did not narrate from them; and this is among the finest hadiths on this topic.

(1) إسناده ضعيف لضعف زمعة بن صالح أبو عامر العقدي: هو عبد الملك بن عمرو.
Grading: This chain is weak (da'if) because of the weakness of Zam'ah bin Salih.
Criticism of a narrator: Zam'ah bin Salih is weak. Abu 'Amir al-'Aqadi refers to 'Abd al-Malik bin 'Amr.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (1693) عن محمد بن بشار، عن أبي عامر العقدي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (1693) narrated it through Muhammad bin Bashshar from Abu 'Amir al-'Aqadi, with this same chain.
