حدَّثَنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب حدثنا محمد بن سِنَان القَزَّاز، حدثنا عمرو بن عاصم الكِلَابي، حدثنا همَّام، عن قَتادة عن أبي الجَوْزاء، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إنّ المؤمنَ إذا حَضَرَه الموتُ، حَضَره ملائكةُ الرحمة"، ثم ذكر الحديث بنحوه (2). هذه الأسانيد كلها صحيحة، وشاهدها حديث البراء بن عازب، وقد أمليتُه في كتاب الإيمان (3).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, when the time of death draws near for the believer, the angels of mercy come to him." Then the narrator mentioned the rest of the hadith, similar to the one above.
All of these chains are sahih (authentic), and their supporting narration (shahid) is the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), which I have dictated in the "Book of Faith" (Kitab al-Iman).

(2) حديث صحيح بما قبله، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل محمد بن سنان، وقد توبع.
Grading: (2) The hadith is sahih by virtue of the one before it, and this chain is hasan in corroborating chains and supporting reports because of Muhammad bin Sinan, and he is corroborated.
وأخرجه ابن حبان (3013) من طريق هدبة بن خالد، عن همام بن يحيى، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (3013) narrated it via the route of Hudbah bin Khalid from Hammam bin Yahya with this same chain.
(3) سلف برقم (107)، وإسناده صحيح.
Repetition: (3) It has passed at number (107), and its chain is sahih.
