It is narrated from Sayyidah A'ishah bint Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with her) that her father, Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), said: I fell ill in Makkah, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on my forehead, then passed it over my chest and my stomach, and then said: 'Allahumma-shfi Sa'dan wa atmim lahu hijratahu' (O Allah, cure Sa'd and complete his emigration for him).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but neither of them recorded it with these words.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih. Al-Ju'ayd bin 'Abd al-Rahman is a trustworthy narrator.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (5659) and Abu Dawud (3104) narrated it via the chain of Makki bin Ibrahim with this same chain.
Defect / Technical note: Al-Bukhari's narration is lengthy and mentions Sa'd's question about his bequest. Al-Hakim's istidrak is an oversight here as well.
Reference / Source: Ahmad and al-Nasa'i narrated it via the chain of Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan from al-Ju'ayd.
Reference / Source: Ahmad and Muslim (1628/8) narrated it via the chain of Humayd bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Himyari through the sons of Sa'd.

Defect / Technical note: (3) Al-Bukhari's wording matches al-Hakim's, whereas Muslim's wording is: "O Allah, cure Sa'd" (twice).
