Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for the funeral of a man of the Ansar, and we came to the grave and the lahd (niche) had not yet been prepared. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat facing the qiblah and we sat around him (then he mentioned the hadith).
(Imam al-Hakim says:) Perhaps someone may imagine that the hadith in whose chain Abu al-Bakhtari is mentioned renders it defective (ma'lul), but that is not so, for the mention of Abu al-Bakhtari in this hadith is an error on the part of Shu'ayb bin Safwan, since the trustworthy imams agree that Yunus bin Khabbab narrates this hadith through al-Minhal bin Amr from Zadhan, that he heard it from Sayyiduna al-Bara'.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The hadith scholars disagree about Yunus bin Khabbab, but according to the majority his hadith is weak. Abu al-Bakhtari al-Ta'i (Sa'id bin Fayruz), on the other hand, is a thiqah narrator.
