حدَّثناه أبو سهل أحمد بن محمد بن زياد النَّحْوي ببغداد وأبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب من أصل كتابه، قالا: حدثنا يحيى بن أبي طالب، حدثنا وَهْب بن جَرير، حدثنا شُعْبة، عن أبي إسحاق، عن البراء بن عازب قال: ذَكَرَ النبيُّ ﷺ المؤمنَ والكافرَ؛ ثم ذكر طرفًا من حديث القبر (3). فقد بانَ بالأصل والشاهد صحَّةُ هذا الحديث، ولعل متوهِّمًا يَتوهَّم أنَّ الحديث الذي:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke about (the conditions of) the believer and the disbeliever; then he narrated a part of the hadith of the grave.
Thus the authenticity of this hadith has become clear through both the original (chain) and the supporting narration.

Grading: Because of the presence of Yahya bin Abi Talib, this chain is strong (qawi).
وأخرجه البيهقي في "إثبات عذاب القبر" (4) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "Ithbat 'Adhab al-Qabr" (4) via Abu Abdullah al-Hakim with this same chain.
وأخرجه أيضًا عن شيخ آخر عن عثمان بن أحمد بن السمّاك، عن يحيى بن أبي طالب، به.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Imam al-Bayhaqi also narrated it via another teacher through the chain of Uthman bin Ahmad bin al-Sammak from Yahya bin Abi Talib.
Grading: Because of the presence of Yahya bin Abi Talib, this chain is strong (qawi).
وأخرجه البيهقي في "إثبات عذاب القبر" (4) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
