فحدَّثَنيهِ أبو سعيد بن أبي بكر بن أبي عثمان ﵏ وأنا سألتُه، حدثنا علي بن سَلْم (2) الأصبهاني بالرَّيّ، حدثنا عمّار بن رجاء، حدثنا محمد بن بكر البُرْساني، عن شعبة، عن الأعمش، عن المنهال بن عمرو عن زاذان، عن البراء، عن النبي ﷺ؛ في حديث القبر (3). وأما حديث زائدة:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated the hadith about the conditions of the grave (then the narrator mentioned a report similar in meaning to the preceding hadith).

(2) تحرَّف في المطبوع إلى: مسلم. وعلي بن سلم هذا نسبه المصنف إلى جده، وهو علي بن الحسن بن سلم الأصبهاني الحافظ، انظر ترجمته في "سير أعلام النبلاء" 14/ 411.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the printed edition the name has been corrupted to "Muslim". The author here attributed Ali bin Salm to his grandfather, whereas his full name is al-Hafiz Ali bin al-Hasan bin Salm al-Asbahani.
Note / Clarification: His biography can be seen in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (14/411).
(3) إسناده صحيح.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
وأخرجه ابن المقرئ في "معجمه" (1255) عن عتاب بن محمد الرازي، عن علي بن سلم، بهذا الإسناد - ولم يسق لفظه كما صنع المصنف هنا.
Reference / Source: Ibn al-Muqri' narrated it in his "Mu'jam" (1255) via Attab bin Muhammad al-Razi from Ali bin Salm with this same chain, but, like the author here, did not quote its wording.
