مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ
Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Jumu'ah prayer has caught the prayer

حدَّثَناه علي بن حَمْشَاذ، حدثنا هشام بن علي، حدثنا عبد الله بن عبد الوهَّاب الحَجَبيُّ، حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن مالك بن أنس وصالح بن أبي الأخضر، عن الزُّهْري، عن أبي سَلَمة، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "من أدركَ من الجمعة ركعةً، فليصلِّ إليها أخرى" (2). كُلُّ هؤلاء الأسانيد الثلاثة صِحاح على شرط الشيخين! ولم يُخرجاه بهذا اللفظ، إنما اتفقا على حديث الزهري، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "مَنْ أدرك من الصَّلاة ركعةً" و"مَنْ أدرك من صلاةِ العصر ركعةً" (1). ولمسلم فيه الزيادة: "فقد أدركها كُلَّها" فقط (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Friday prayer, let him add another (rak'ah) to it."
All three of these chains are sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim)! But they did not record it with this wording; they only agreed on the narration of al-Zuhri from Abu Salamah from Abu Hurayrah which says: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer" and "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Asr prayer", while in Imam Muslim's narration there is this addition: "then he has caught the whole prayer."

(2) إسناده ضعيف من جهة صالح بن أبي الأخضر، وهذا اللفظ له كما صرَّح بذلك الدارقطني في "العلل" (1730)، أما لفظ مالك بن أنس فقد جاء على الجادة بدون ذكر الجمعة كما يأتي في مصادر التخريج. ¤ ¤ فقد أخرجه ابن حبان (1487) من طريق أبي كامل الجَحدري، عن حماد بن زيد، عن مالك بن أنس وحده، بهذا الإسناد، ولفظه: "من أدرك من صلاة ركعة فقد أدرك".
Grading: (2) This chain is da'if because of Salih bin Abi al-Akhdar, and this wording is his, whereas the wording of Imam Malik follows the usual route (al-jaddah) without mention of "Jumu'ah", as narrated in Ibn Hibban (1487).
