أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المَحْبُوبي بمَرْو، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا همّام بن يحيى، حدثنا قتادة، عن قُدامة بن وَبَرةَ الجُعْفي، عن سَمُرة بن جُندُب، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "مَن تَركَ الجمعة من غير عُذرٍ، فليتصدَّق بدينار، فإن لم يَجِدْ فبنصفِ دينار" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرَّج لخلافٍ فيه لسعيد بن بَشير وأيوب بن العلاء فإنهما قالا: عن قتادة عن قُدامةَ بن وَبَرَة عن رسول الله ﷺ مرسلًا.

هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرَّج لخلافٍ فيه لسعيد بن بَشير وأيوب بن العلاء فإنهما قالا: عن قتادة عن قُدامةَ بن وَبَرَة عن رسول الله ﷺ مرسلًا.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever abandons the Friday prayer without an excuse should give one dinar in charity, and if he cannot afford it, then half a dinar in charity."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but (the two Shaykhs) did not record it because of the disagreement of Sa'id bin Bashir and Ayyub bin al-Ala', for both of them narrated it as mursal through the chain of Qatadah from Qudamah bin Wabarah.

(2) إسناده ضعيف لانقطاعه، قدامة بن وبرة -وإن وثقه ابن معين في رواية عثمان بن سعيد ¤ ¤ الدارمي، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" -قال البخاري: لم يصح سماعه من سمرة، وقال في "التاريخ الكبير" 4/ 177: لا يصح حديث قدامة في الجمعة.
Grading: (2) The chain is weak because it is disconnected. Imam al-Bukhari said that it is not established that Qudamah heard from Samurah, and that his hadith about Friday is not sahih.
وأخرجه أحمد 33/ (20087)، وأبو داود (1053)، والنسائي (1673) من طريق يزيد بن هارون، بهذا الإسناد. وقد صرَّح قتادة بالسماع من قدامة عند أحمد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (33/20087), Abu Dawud (1053) and al-Nasa'i (1673) narrated it through the route of Yazid bin Harun. In Ahmad's narration Qatadah explicitly states that he heard it from Qudamah.

وأخرجه ابن ماجه (1128)، والنسائي (1674) من طريق خالد بن قيس، عن قتادة، عن الحسن البصري، عن سمرة، وخالد بن قيس قد خالفه من هو أوثق منه وهو همام بن يحيى، وقد رجَّح البخاري رواية همام.
Variation in the chain: Khalid bin Qays narrated it through the chain of Qatadah from al-Hasan from Samurah, but the trustworthy narrator Hammam bin Yahya (who narrates it from Qudamah) contradicted him, and Imam al-Bukhari judged Hammam's narration to be the preferred one.
