It is narrated from Abu al-Ja'd al-Damri (may Allah be pleased with him) - who had the companionship of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) - that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever abandons three Friday prayers out of laziness and negligence, Allah Almighty seals his heart."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Grading: (1) It is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and because of Muhammad bin Amr (Ibn Alqamah al-Laythi) the chain is "hasan". Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (1052) narrated it through the chain of Musaddad bin Musarhad with this same chain. Reference / Source: Ahmad (24/15498) and al-Nasa'i (1668) narrated it through the route of Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (1125), al-Tirmidhi (500) and Ibn Hibban (2786) narrated it through the routes of Muhammad bin Amr. Imam al-Tirmidhi called it "hasan". Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (258) narrated it through the chain of Sufyan al-Thawri from Muhammad bin Amr with the words: "Whoever abandons three Fridays without an excuse is a hypocrite." Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The hadith of Jabir bin Abdullah (no. 1093) is a supporting report for it, and its chain is hasan. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The marfu' hadith of Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah: "People must stop abandoning the Friday prayers, or else Allah will seal their hearts and they will be among the heedless." (1095). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Another narration of Abu Hurayrah will come later at no. (1095).
