It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the two Shaykhs ate fresh dates and drank water. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are the blessings about which you will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: Today I saw in a dream as if I was in a secure coat of mail. I saw a cow that was slaughtered. I interpreted this as the secure coat of mail meaning Madinah, and the cow, by Allah, as goodness. Then the Companions said: If we remain in Madinah and they come to us, we will fight them. And they said: O Messenger of Allah! In the time of ignorance, our enemy was never able to enter Madinah, so how can they enter it in Islam? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As you wish. And saying this, he put on his armor. Seeing this, the Ansar said: It does not befit any Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that after putting on his armor, he should take it off until he has fought.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me for a task of his. I went, and when I returned after completing that task, I greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with salam, but he did not reply. Then I saw him bowing and prostrating, so I stepped back. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you complete the task?" I replied: "Yes, I did it in such and such a way." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Nothing prevented me from replying to you except that I was performing prayer."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. We reached a watering place, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Jabir, why don't you get down at the watering place?" I replied in the affirmative. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) got down and I went to the watering place. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to relieve himself, and I brought water for his ablution and kept it ready. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came back and performed ablution. Then he stood up and prayed in a single garment, whose two ends he threw over his shoulders from opposite sides. I came and stood behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took hold of my ear and made me stand on his right side.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Pray with me. So, he performed the Fajr prayer at the time of dawn, performed the Zuhr prayer after the sun had passed its zenith, performed the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to its length, performed the Maghrib prayer after sunset, and performed the Isha prayer after the twilight had disappeared. Then, on the next day, he performed the Fajr prayer when there was much brightness, performed the Zuhr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to its length, then performed the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became twice its length, then performed the Maghrib prayer before the twilight disappeared, then came for the Isha prayer when half or a third of the night had passed.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. When he turned to leave, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him back and said: As long as you do not die in a state that you owe a debt and you have nothing with which to pay it.

These are the two daughters of Sa'd. Their father was martyred with you in the Battle of Uhud. Their uncle has taken possession of their wealth and has not left anything for them. Now they can only get married if they have some wealth." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah will decide about this matter." Then the verse of inheritance was revealed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called their uncle and said, "Give two-thirds to Sa'd's two daughters and one-eighth to their mother. Whatever remains after that is yours."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were standing in rows with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the Zuhr or Asr prayer, and it seemed as if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was reaching out to grab something, then he began to move back, so the people also began to move back. After the prayer was finished, Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Today you did something that you have never done before." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Paradise was presented before me with all its splendors, and I wanted to pluck a bunch of grapes to give to you, but then something came between us. If I had brought it to you and all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth had eaten from it, it would not have diminished in the least. Then Hell was presented before me, and when I felt its blaze, I moved back, and I saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women, who, if entrusted with a secret, reveal it; if asked for something, they act miserly; if they themselves ask for something, they insist; and if they receive, they do not show gratitude. I also saw there Luhayyi bin Amr, who was dragging his intestines in Hell, and I saw Ma'bad bin Aktham Ka'bi, who resembled him the most." Upon this, Ma'bad said: "O Messenger of Allah! Is there any harm for me in this resemblance?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, you are a Muslim and he was a disbeliever."

A man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Be just." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Woe to you! If I am not just, then who will be just? If I do not act justly, then I would be at a loss." Sayyiduna ‘Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to strike the neck of this hypocrite." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I seek refuge with Allah that people should start saying that I kill my companions.
