Hadith 14866
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that for every ten wasq of dates harvested, it is obligatory upon the harvester to bring one bunch to the mosque and hang it for the poor.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: When one of you sends a proposal of marriage to a woman, and it is possible for him to see in her that quality because of which he wishes to marry her, then he should do so.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Be cautious at the time of the Isha prayer. It is likely that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared the calamities and afflictions that occur at that time.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) decreed that if something is given to someone for a lifetime, it will belong to him and his offspring, and the one who gave it has no right to take it back because of his statement.
Hadith 14872
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from facing or turning our backs towards the Ka'bah when relieving ourselves. But after that, one year before his passing, I myself saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urinating while facing the Qiblah.
Hadith 14873
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Mu’adh passed away, we went out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the funeral prayer and he was placed in the grave and the bricks were leveled, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited tasbih for a long time, and we also recited tasbih. Then he said takbir, and we also said takbir. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Why did you recite tasbih and takbir? He replied: The grave had become constricted for this righteous servant, then Allah made it spacious for him.
Hadith 14874
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wear shoes frequently, for as long as a person keeps wearing shoes, it is as if he is riding a mount.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying about the plague: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield, and the one who remains patient in it receives the reward of a martyr.
Hadith 14876
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muhaqalah, Muzabanah, and the sale of fruits on lease for several years, but he permitted that a person may give his garden as a loan to a poor person. Hadith 14877
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every good deed is charity, and it is also a good deed that you meet your brother with a cheerful face or pour some water from your bucket into his vessel.

جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " طَائِرُ كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ فِي عُنُقِهِ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ : يَعْنِي الطِّيَرَةَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Every servant's bird (record of deeds) will be hanging around his neck.

أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا أَحَدٌ يَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ ، إِلَّا آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَا سَأَلَ ، أَوْ كَفَّ عَنْهُ مِنَ السُّوءِ مِثْلَهُ ، مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ ، أَوْ بِقَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whenever a person supplicates, Allah surely grants it to him, or averts from him a calamity or distress similar to it, as long as he does not supplicate for something sinful or for severing ties of kinship.

جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ مِنْ جَيْشَانَ ، وَجَيْشَانُ مِنَ الْيَمَن ، ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ شَرَابٍ يَشْرَبُونَهُ بِأَرْضِهِمْ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : الْمِزْرُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمُسْكِرٌ هُوَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، وَإِنَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَهْدًا لِمَنْ يَشْرَبُ الْمُسْكِرَ ، أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " عَرَقُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، أَوْ عُصَارَةُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the region of "Jaishan" in Yemen came to the Prophet's court and said: The people in our area drink an intoxicant made from barley, which is called "Mizr." What is its ruling? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does it intoxicate? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every intoxicant is forbidden, and it is upon Allah to make the one who drinks intoxicants drink "Teenat al-Khabal." The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by "Teenat al-Khabal"? He said: The sweat or pus, etc., of the people of Hell.
Hadith 14881
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed me and said: "Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), do you know that Allah granted your father life and asked him if he had any wish? He replied: 'Send me back to the world so that I may be martyred once again.' Allah said: 'I have already decreed that those who go to the world will not return again.'"
Hadith 14882
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger said: Performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal to one Hajj.

الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْيَهُودِ : " إِنِّي سَائِلُهُمْ عَنْ تُرْبَةِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَهِيَ دَرْمَكَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ " ، فَسَأَلَهُمْ ، فَقَالُوا : هِيَ خُبْزَةٌ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْخُبْزَةُ مِنَ الدَّرْمَكِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the Jews that I am going to ask them about the soil of Paradise, which will be pure white. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them: They replied, "O Abu al-Qasim, it will be like bread." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will be like pure bread."
Hadith 14884
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the sale of fruit before it had ripened and become good.
Hadith 14885
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade handing over a naked sword (unsheathed) to one another.
Hadith 14886
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is permissible to give something to someone for a lifetime.

سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ ، كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ أَوْقَدَ نَارًا ، فَجَعَلَ الْفَرَاشُ وَالْجَنَادِبُ يَقَعْنَ فِيهَا ، قَالَ : " وَهُوَ يَذُبُّهُنَّ عَنْهَا " ، قَالَ : " وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَفَلَّتُونَ مِنْ يَدِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of me and the other prophets is like that of a man who kindles a fire, and moths and butterflies begin to fall into it, and he tries to keep them away from it. In the same way, I am holding you by your waist to save you from Hell, but you keep slipping from my hands.

سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ ، كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ ابْتَنَى دَارًا فَأَكْمَلَهَا وَأَحْسَنَهَا ، إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَيَعْجَبُونَ ، وَيَقُولُونَ : لَوْلَا مَوْضِعُ اللَّبِنَةِ " ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَأَنَا مَوْضِعُ اللَّبِنَةِ جِئْتُ فَخَتَمْتُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My example and the example of the other prophets is like that of a man who built a house and completed it and made it beautiful, but left the place of one brick. People would enter that house and admire it and say, "If only this one brick had not been left, the building would have been complete." I am that place of the brick; I have come and thus completed the succession of the noble prophets.
Hadith 14889
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer for the King of Abyssinia, Najashi Ashamah, and said four takbirs over him.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the time of the Battle of Khaybar, (the Prophet ﷺ) forbade (the eating of) domesticated donkeys and permitted the meat of horses.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a goat towards the House of Allah as a sacrificial offering.
Hadith 14892
Amr bin Abdur Rahman says that a person asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), "Among the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who is left with you now?" He replied, "Sayyiduna Anas and Salamah bin Akwa' are left." That person said, "Sayyiduna Salamah became apostate after migration." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Do not say such a thing, because I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying for the tribe of Aslam: 'O tribe of Aslam, make yourselves known.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah! We fear that we might return (to disbelief) after migration.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Wherever you live, you will remain migrants (Muhajirun).'"
Hadith 14893
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I offered the Eid al-Adha prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). After completing the prayer and sermon, a ram was brought. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered it, saying: "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar," and said: "O Allah, this is from me and from all those in my ummah who cannot offer a sacrifice."
Hadith 14894
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The game of the land is lawful for you, provided that you do not hunt it yourselves, nor is it hunted for your sake.

جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالْمُصَلَّى ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى خُطْبَتَهُ ، نَزَلَ مِنْ مِنْبَرِهِ ، وَأَتَى بِكَبْشٍ ، فَذَبَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، هَذَا عَنِّي وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي " .

جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ ، قَالَ : فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ أَتَعَجَّلُ ، قُلْتُ : إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ ، قَالَ : " ثَيِّبًا أَمْ بِكْرًا ؟ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : ثَيِّبًا ، قَالَ : " فَأَلَّا كَانَتْ بِكْرًا تُلَاعِبُهَا وَتُلَاعِبُكَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : " انْطَلِقْ وَاعْمَلْ عَمَلًا كَيِّسًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : يَعْنِي لَا تَطْرُقْهُنَّ لَيْلًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle. I sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to leave early and said: I have gotten married. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: To a virgin or to a previously married woman? I replied: To a previously married woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with her and she could play with you? Then he said: Go and be close to your wife.
Hadith 14897
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a person from walking with only one shoe.
Hadith 14898
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the sun sets, do not let your animals and your children go outside until the darkness of the night has passed, because when the sun sets, the devils descend until the darkness of the night has passed.

جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُغْلِقَ الْأَبْوَابَ ، وَأَنْ نُوكِئَ الْأَسْقِيَةَ ، وَأَنْ نُطْفِئَ الْمَصَابِيحَ ، وَأَنْ نَكُفَّ فَوَاشِيَنَا ، حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ فَحْمَةُ الْعِشَاءِ ، وَنَهَانَا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الرَّجُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَأَنْ يَمْشِيَ فِي النَّعْلِ الْوَاحِدَةِ ، وَعَنِ الصَّمَّاءِ ، وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to close the doors, tie the mouths of the water skins, and keep the children indoors until the darkness of the night has passed. He forbade that anyone should eat with his left hand, walk wearing only one shoe, wrap himself in a single garment, or sit with one leg drawn up.

حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ
عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَرْبَعٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ، فَلَمَّا طُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً ، إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ " ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَهَلُّوا بِالْحَجِّ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ طَافُوا وَلَمْ يَطُوفُوا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Makkah Mukarramah on the 4th of Dhul-Hijjah. When we had completed the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa'i, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Consider it as Ihram for Umrah and come out of Ihram, except for those who have a sacrificial animal with them; they should not do so." When the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah came, the people entered into Ihram for Hajj, and on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, they performed only the Tawaf of Ziyarah and did not perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah.
Hadith 14901
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Remain close (to the right path) and do what is correct, for none of you will be saved by his deeds. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Not even you? He replied: Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in His mercy.
Hadith 14902
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the time of the Battle of Khaybar, we ate the meat of horses, mules, and donkeys, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (the meat of) mules and domesticated donkeys, but he did not forbid (the meat of) horses.

جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِجَابِرٍ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ أَعْيَا بَعِيرِي ، فَقَالَ : " مَا شَأْنُكَ يَا جَابِرُ ؟ " ، فَقُلْتُ : بَعِيرِي قَدْ رَزَمَ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَاهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ عَجُزِهِ ، وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ : وَعَجُزُهُ سَوَاءٌ ، فَدَعَا وَزَجَرَهُ ، قَالَ : فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَقْدُمُ الْإِبِلَ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَى عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا فَعَلَ الْبَعِيرُ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : مَا زَالَ يَقْدُمُهَا ، قَالَ : " بِكَمْ أَخَذْتَهُ ؟ " ، فَقُلْتُ : بِثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ دِينَارًا ، قَالَ : " فَبِعْنِي بِالثَّمَنِ ، وَلَكَ ظَهْرُهُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ " ، قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ ، خَطَمْتُهُ ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَعْطَانِي الثَّمَنَ ، وَأَعْطَانِي الْبَعِيرَ .
Once, the camel of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down and exhausted him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by and asked, "Jabir, what happened to you?" He mentioned the whole incident. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) got down and came to the camel, struck it with his foot, and the camel jumped up and stood. After that, it remained ahead of all. Later, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "What happened to the camel?" He replied, "It remained ahead of all." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "For how much did you buy it?" I replied, "For thirteen dinars." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sell it to me for that price. You are allowed to ride it until you reach Madinah." I said, "Very well." When I reached Madinah, I put a bridle in its mouth and brought it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me the price and also returned the camel to me.
Hadith 14904
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " دَخَلَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah on the day of the conquest of Makkah, he was wearing a black turban.
Hadith 14905
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh was struck by an arrow in the vein of his arm. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cauterized him.
