Hadith 14547
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the deceased sees how spacious his grave has been made, he says to the angels, "Let me go so that I may give glad tidings to my family." But it is said to him, "Stay here and find peace."
Hadith 14548
Muhammad says that I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): When did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offer the Friday prayer? He replied that after we performed the Friday prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we would return to our homes and let our camels rest.
Hadith 14549

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي
جَعْفَرٌ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ الْبُدْنَ الَّتِي نَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَتْ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةٍ ، نَحَرَ بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ ، وَنَحَرَ عَلِيٌّ مَا غَبَرَ ، وَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ بِبَضْعَةٍ ، فَجُعِلَتْ فِي قِدْرٍ ، ثُمَّ شَرِبَا مِنْ مَرَقِهَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took one hundred camels for sacrifice, out of which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered sixty-three camels with his own blessed hand, and the remaining camels were slaughtered by Sayyiduna Ali. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that a little meat from each camel be taken and put into a pot, then both of them drank its broth.
Hadith 14550

سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ صَنَعَتْ لَهُ طَعَامًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " فَدَخَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدْخِلُ رَأْسَهُ تَحْتَ الْوَدِيِّ ، فَيَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ ، إِنْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ عَلِيًّا " فَدَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were attending a meal invitation at the house of an Ansari woman along with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon a man from among the people of Paradise will come to you." After a short while, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. We congratulated him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon another man from among the people of Paradise will come to you." After a little while, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. We also congratulated him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said again: "Soon another man from among the people of Paradise will come to you." At that time, I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was looking out from beneath the trees and said: "O Allah, if You will, let the one who comes be Ali." Accordingly, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and we also congratulated him.
Hadith 14551
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The best row among the rows of men is the first one, and the worst is the last one, whereas among the rows of women, the worst is the first one and the best is the last one.
Hadith 14552

أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا سَقَطَتْ اللُّقْمَةُ مِنْ يَدِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيُمِطْ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى ، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ ، وَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ ، وَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a morsel falls from any of you, he should remove whatever harmful thing is on it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan. And he should not wipe his hand with a towel until he has licked his fingers, for he does not know in which part of his food the blessing lies.
Hadith 14553

أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : دَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ وَأَوْضَعَ فِي وَادِي مُحَسِّرٍ ، فَأَرَاهُمْ مِثْلَ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالسَّكِينَةِ ، وَقَالَ : " لِتَأْخُذْ أُمَّتِي مَنْسَكَهَا ، فَإِنِّي لَا أَدْرِي لَعَلِّي لَا أَلْقَاهُمْ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out, he would do so with calmness, but in the valley of Muhassir he increased the speed of his mount. And he saw pebbles like small stones and instructed to walk with calmness and dignity, and said: My Ummah should learn the rites of Hajj, for it may be that I will not meet them next year.
Hadith 14554

أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " عَرْشُ إِبْلِيسَ عَلَى الْبَحْرِ ، يَبْعَثُ سَرَايَاهُ ، فَأَعْظَمُهُمْ عِنْدَهُ مَنْزِلَةً ، أَعْظَمُهُمْ فِتْنَةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bilqis places her throne over the water, then sends forth her army. Among them, the one who is closest to Satan is the one who causes the greatest tribulation.
Hadith 14555

أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجَةٍ ، فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَيُومِئُ إِيمَاءً ، السُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ : " مَا فَعَلْتَ فِي حَاجَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while going towards Banu Mustaliq, sent me on an errand. When I returned, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying facing towards the east on his camel. I wanted to speak, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand, and this happened twice. Then I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting (Qur'an), and he was indicating with his head. After completing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What happened to the task for which I sent you?" I did not reply because I was praying.
Hadith 14556
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come out, the noble Companions would walk in front of him and would leave his blessed back for the angels.
Hadith 14557
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A time will come when the inhabitants of Madinah will leave it, even though at that time Madinah will be like a well sitting among salty wells." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Then who will inhabit it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wild beasts and vultures."
Hadith 14558
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith is among the people of Hijaz, and hardness of hearts and oppression and harshness are among the eastern herdsmen.
Hadith 14559
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, without any excuse, misses Friday (prayer) three times, Allah sets a seal upon his heart.
Hadith 14560
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah). When they do this, they have protected their lives and wealth from me, except for the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah.
Hadith 14561

أَبُو عَامِرٍ العَقَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
قُرَّةُ ، عَنْ
عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ مَغَانِمَ حُنَيْنٍ ، إِذْ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ اعْدِلْ ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ شَقِيتُ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was distributing the spoils of the Battle of Hunayn when a man stood up and said, "Act justly." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I do not act justly, then that would be a great misfortune."
Hadith 14562
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever attributes himself to anyone other than his master, it is as if he has thrown off the rope of faith from his neck.
Hadith 14563
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in the Mosque of Fath for three consecutive days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. That prayer was accepted on Wednesday between the two prayers, and a radiant happiness was seen spreading on the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). After that, whenever any very important matter came before me, I would choose that same time to supplicate, and I would see signs of acceptance in it.
Hadith 14564
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not wish for death, for the terrors of the Day of Resurrection are very severe, and a person's good fortune and happiness is that he is granted a long life and Allah grants him the ability to turn towards Him.
Hadith 14565
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade plastering graves.
Hadith 14566

عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ
أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : خَلَتْ الْبِقَاعُ حَوْلَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَأَرَادَ بَنُو سَلِمَةَ أَنْ يَنْتَقِلُوا قُرْبَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : " إِنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكُمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَنْتَقِلُوا قُرْبَ الْمَسْجِدِ ؟ " قَالُوا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ أَرَدْنَا ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ ، دِيَارَكُمْ تُكْتَبْ آثَارُكُمْ ، دِيَارَكُمْ تُكْتَبْ آثَارُكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a piece of land near the Prophet’s Mosque became vacant. The people of Banu Salamah intended to move closer to the mosque. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he said to them: “I have heard that you want to move closer to the mosque.” They replied, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah! That is our intention.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O Banu Salamah, stay in your homes; the reward for your footsteps will also be written for you. Stay in your homes; the reward for your footsteps will also be written for you.”
Hadith 14567
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the last era, there will come a caliph who will distribute wealth among the people in abundance and will not even count it.
Hadith 14568
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to travel with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When we ascended to a height, we would say "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest), and when we descended into a valley, we would say "Subhan Allah" (Glory be to Allah).
Hadith 14569
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will be one-eyed; he will be the greatest liar.
Hadith 14570

رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ ، وَإِنِّي أَشْتَرِطُ عَلَى رَبِّي أَيَّ عَبْدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَتَمْتُهُ أَوْ سَبَبْتُهُ ، أَنْ يَكُونَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ زَكَاةً وَأَجْرًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am also a human being, and I have taken a promise from my Lord that if any harsh words come out of my mouth regarding a Muslim, they will become a means of purification and reward for him.

ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي
جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
أَبَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ نَزَلَ عَنِ الصَّفَا ، حَتَّى انْصَبَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي بَطْنِ الْوَادِي سَعَى حَتَّى إِذَا صَعِدْنَا الشِّقَّ الْآخَرَ مَشَى .
Among the details regarding the Hajj of the Prophet (ﷺ) from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), it is also mentioned that then the Prophet (ﷺ) descended from Safa, and when his blessed feet reached the middle of the valley, he hastened his pace (performed Sa'i), until when we ascended the other side, the Prophet (ﷺ) began to walk at his normal pace.
Hadith 14572

رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْمُهَلِّ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ثُمَّ انْتَهَى ، أُرَاهُ يُرِيدُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ، وَالطَّرِيقِ الْأُخْرَى الْجُحْفَةِ ، وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ مِنْ ذَاتِ عِرْقٍ ، وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ ، وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ " .
Someone asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the miqat: he replied that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that the miqat for the people of Madinah is Dhu’l-Hulayfah, and the other route is Juhfah, while the miqat for the people of Iraq is Dhat ‘Irq, for the people of Najd it is Qarn, and for the people of Yemen it is Yalamlam.
Hadith 14573

ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ : " مَا شَأْنُ أَجْسَامِ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً ، أَتُصِيبُهُمْ حَاجَةٌ ؟ " قَالَتْ : لَا ، وَلَكِنْ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ الْعَيْنُ ، أَفَنَرْقِيهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : " وَبِمَاذَا " فَعَرَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْقِيهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Asma bint Umais: "What is the matter that the bodies of my nephews are becoming very weak? Are they facing any trouble or need?" She replied: "No, but they are affected by the evil eye very quickly. Can we perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) on them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "With which words?" She presented those words before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You may perform ruqyah on them."
Hadith 14574
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If there were to be any ill-omen in anything, it would be in property, horse, and woman.
Hadith 14575

أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : أَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ، حَتَّى إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ تَقْدَمُ مِنَ الْبَادِيَةِ بِكَلْبِهَا فَنَقْتُلُهُ ، ثُمَّ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِهَا ، وَقَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَسْوَدِ الْبَهِيمِ ذِي النُّقْطَتَيْنِ ، فَإِنَّهُ شَيْطَانٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to kill dogs, so much so that if a woman brought her dog from the village, we would also kill it. Later, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade this: Only kill the black dog with two spots, for it is a devil.

جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا دَخَلَتْ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيٍّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فُسْطَاطَهُ ، حَضَرَ نَاسٌ وَحَضَرْتُ مَعَهُمْ ، لِيَكُونَ فِيهَا قَسْمٌ ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " قُومُوا عَنْ أُمِّكُمْ " ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْعَشِيِّ حَضَرْنَا ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْنَا فِي طَرَفِ رِدَائِهِ نَحْوٌ مِنْ مُدٍّ وَنِصْفٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ عَجْوَةٍ ، قَالَ : " كُلُوا مِنْ وَلِيمَةِ أُمِّكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy entered the tent of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), people also came along so that she might be given to someone’s share. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Get up from your mother’s place. In the evening, we came again, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out with about one and a half mudd of Ajwa dates in a corner of his cloak and said: Eat the wedding feast of your mother.
Hadith 14577
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer eats in one intestine, and a disbeliever eats in seven intestines.
Hadith 14578
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْقُلُ مَعَهُمْ الْحِجَارَةَ لِلْكَعْبَةِ ، وَعَلَيْهِ إِزَارُه ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّهُ ، يَا ابْنَ أَخِي ، لَوْ حَلَلْتَ إِزَارَكَ فَجَعَلْتَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْكَ دُونَ الْحِجَارَةِ ، قَالَ : فَحَلَّهُ فَجَعَلَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ ، فَسَقَطَ مَغْشِيًّا عَلَيْهِ ، فَمَا رُئِيَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ عُرْيَانًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the construction of the Ka'bah began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also started carrying stones. Sayyiduna Abbas said, "Nephew, take off your waistcloth and place it on your shoulder so that your shoulder does not get injured by the stones." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to do so, but he fell unconscious and collapsed. After that day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was never seen with his body uncovered by clothes.
Hadith 14579
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
رَوْحٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : طَافَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، لِيَرَاهُ النَّاسُ وَلِيُشْرِفَ وَيَسْأَلُوهُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ غَشُوهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah during the Farewell Pilgrimage on his mount, so that people could see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and resolve their issues easily, because at that time the people had surrounded him.
Hadith 14580
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whenever death comes to any one of you, let him be in the state of having good expectations from Allah."
Hadith 14581
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we prepared food for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in an earthen pot. I brought that vessel and placed it before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked into it and said: I thought there would be meat in it. I went and mentioned this to my family, and they slaughtered a goat for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 14582
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ لَيْسَ لَهُ جَزَاءٌ إِلَّا الْجَنَّةَ " ، قَالُوا : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، مَا الْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ ؟ قَالَ : " إِطْعَامُ الطَّعَامِ ، وَإِفْشَاءُ السَّلَامِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for an accepted Hajj is nothing but Paradise. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by an accepted Hajj? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Giving food and spreading peace.
Hadith 14583
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not engage in jihad during the sacred months, except if war was imposed by others. Otherwise, when the sacred months began, he would refrain until they ended.
Hadith 14584
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that an Ansari came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Can I treat a scorpion sting by means of incantation (ruqyah)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever can benefit his brother should do so."
Hadith 14585
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
حُجَيْنٌ ،
وَيُونُسُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا
لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اعْتَزَلَ نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا فِي تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ، فَقُلْنَا : إِنَّمَا الْيَوْمُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا الشَّهْرُ " وَصَفَّقَ بِيَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَحَبَسَ إِصْبَعًا وَاحِدًا فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَقَالَ يُونُسُ : أُصْبُعًا وَاحِدَةً .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) separated himself from his noble wives for a month. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in an upper room and the noble wives stayed on the lower floor. After 29 nights had passed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came down. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! You stayed for 29 nights (whereas you had intended a month). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sometimes a month is like this and like this. Twice he indicated with all the fingers of his hand, and the third time he folded his thumb.
Hadith 14586
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When one of you sends a proposal to a woman for marriage, and it is possible for him to see in her that quality because of which he wishes to marry her, then he should do so. Accordingly, I sent a marriage proposal to a girl from Banu Salamah, so I looked at her secretly from behind the branches of a tree until I saw in her that quality because of which I wished to marry her, so I married her.
