It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, a flag will be raised for every deceiver, and it will be announced: This is the deception of so-and-so, son of so-and-so."

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "As for wearing shoes made of dyed leather, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) himself wore such shoes, performed ablution while wearing them, and liked them. As for only kissing the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performing istilam of only these two corners and not of any other corner. As for dyeing the beard, I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) dyeing his beard as well. And as for reciting the talbiyah and making the intention for ihram while mounted, I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when he placed his foot in the stirrup, sat upright on his mount, and when the mount stood straight with him, then he would recite the talbiyah."

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after saying "Sami‘ Allahu liman hamidah," would say "Rabbana wa laka al-hamd." However, between the two prostrations, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not raise his hands.

Please give me your shirt so that I may shroud him in it, and lead his funeral prayer, and also seek forgiveness from Allah for him." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him his shirt and said, "Inform me at the time of the funeral." When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stepped forward to lead the prayer, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, "Allah has forbidden you from leading the funeral prayer of the hypocrites." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I have been given a choice regarding two matters: to seek forgiveness or not to seek forgiveness." Thus, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his funeral prayer. Later, Allah the Exalted revealed the command that for any of them who dies, never perform their funeral prayer. Thus, after that, their funeral prayer was abandoned.
