It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we set out with the intention of Hajj along with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and before the Day of Sacrifice, neither the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) nor Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) made anything lawful for themselves until they had performed the Tawaf and Sa’i.

He replied: "I have seen that saffron oil was the most beloved of all things to be dyed for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He used to apply its oil and dye his clothes with it."

Then behind him, I saw a man with curly hair, reddish complexion, blind in the right eye, and, according to my sight, extremely similar to Ibn Qatan. I asked, "Who is this?" It was made known to me that he is the Masih Dajjal.

The people also took off and threw away their rings. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made of silver. With it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would seal (letters), but he would not wear it.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spread a dining mat before him and brought meat and placed it in front of him. He refused to eat it and said, "I do not eat the meat of those animals which you people sacrifice in the name of your idols. Rather, I only eat those things upon which Allah's name has been mentioned." Benefit: By "you people" is meant "the nation" and not the person of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: Tell him to take his wife back, and when she becomes "pure," then in those days of purity he may divorce her. I asked: Did you count the divorce that was given during her "periods"? He said: Why would I not count it? If I had not done so, people would have considered me foolish.
