Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I used to scrape off the traces of semen from the clothes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so when you see it, wash the cloth, otherwise sprinkle water over it.

Mu’adhah says that a woman asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), “Does a menstruating woman have to make up the missed prayers?” She replied, “Have you become a Kharijite? In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when our ‘days’ would come, we neither made up the prayers nor were we ordered to make them up.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Five things are among the "fawasiq" which may be killed in the Haram: the scorpion, the mouse, the kite, the rabid dog, and the crow.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever drinks anything from a silver vessel, it is as if he is filling his belly with the fire of Hell.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The grave squeezes once, and if anyone could have been saved from this, it would have been Saad bin Muadh.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that sometimes when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray at night, I would be lying like a corpse between him and the Qiblah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never ate their fill of wheat bread for two consecutive days, until he departed from this world.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that sometimes the Prophet (peace be upon him) would kiss us even while he was fasting.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Noble Qur'an with proficiency will be with the righteous and honorable angels, and whoever recites it with difficulty and effort will have a double reward.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that although the Prophet (peace be upon him) had more control over his desires than you, even then the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to kiss.

Abdullah bin Shaqiq reports: I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the voluntary prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night. She replied: In the night prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for a long time and sit for quite a while. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also recite, bow, and prostrate while standing.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when there was a solar eclipse during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered ablution, the announcement for prayer was made that the prayer is ready, then he stood up and performed a long standing in prayer and most likely recited Surah Al-Baqarah in it, then performed a long bowing (ruku), then after saying "Sami Allahu liman Hamidah" he stood for quite a while as before and did not go into prostration but performed ruku again, then went into prostration, and in the second rak'ah he did the same, that is, performed two ruku in each rak'ah, then sat in Tashahhud, and during this the solar eclipse ended.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of vessels called muzaffat, dubba, and hantam.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I applied perfume to the Ihram of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with my own two hands when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was entering into Ihram, and I also applied perfume after he became lawful (halal) before performing the Tawaf of Ziyarat.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "I wish I had also taken permission from the Prophet (peace be upon him) like Hazrat Saudah did, and had gone to Mina to offer the Fajr prayer and completed my tasks before the people arrived." People asked, "Did Hazrat Saudah have this permission?" She replied, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) had given Hazrat Saudah bint Zam'ah permission to return from Muzdalifah before Fajr because she was a weak woman."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah, Hazrat Safiyyah began her menstruation. This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Will this prevent us?" I said, "She began her menstruation after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then she should depart," or he said, "Then not."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that sometimes when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would wake up at night and pray, one corner of the blanket would be over the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the other corner would be over Aisha, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) would continue to pray.

A person asked Hazrat Aisha about the nabidh (fermented drink) made in a clay pot, so she said: "Are you women even incapable of making a water skin from the hide of your sacrificial animal?" Then she said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade nabidh made in clay pots and such-and-such things." Sulaiman forgot the explanation of "such-and-such things."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The person with the most perfect faith is the one whose character is the best and who is the kindest to his family.

It is narrated from Salim that once Abdur Rahman performed ablution at the place of Aisha, so she said, "Abdur Rahman! Perform ablution properly and completely, because I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell.'"

Muhammad bin Ali says that Aisha used to take loans from people. Someone asked her, "Why do you take loans?" She replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that whoever intends to repay a loan, Allah's help remains with him. I want to attain that help."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If a woman spends anything from her husband's house and does not intend corruption, then that woman will also receive its reward, and her husband will also receive the reward for his earning. The woman will receive the reward for spending, and the treasurer will also receive the same reward.

Abdur Rahman says that once I was present in the service of Hazrat Aisha, and while narrating a hadith, she said that sometimes the Prophet (peace be upon him) would be in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) in the morning, so he would perform ghusl (ritual bath) and proceed towards the mosque. At that time, drops of water would be dripping from the blessed head of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he would make the intention to fast for that day. I narrated this hadith to Marwan bin Hakam, so he said to me, "Go and narrate this hadith of Hazrat Aisha to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him)." I said to him, "He is my friend; it would be better if you excuse me from this." He said, "I swear, you must go to him." So Marwan and I set out towards Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and narrated this hadith to him. He said, "Hazrat Aisha knows more about the Prophet (peace be upon him)."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once on the day of Eid, Hazrat Siddiq Akbar came to her house and there were two girls playing the duff. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar scolded them, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him, "Leave them, for every nation has a festival, and today is our festival."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would observe i'tikaf and would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would comb it while I was menstruating.

Furwah bin Nawfal says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the supplication of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to frequently make this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of those things which I have done and which I have not done.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to frequently say in his bowing and prostration: "Subhanaka Allahumma Rabbana wa bihamdika Allahumma ighfir li."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Breaking the bone of a deceased Muslim is just like breaking the bone of a living person.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the (Sunnah of Fajr) so briefly that I would say, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even recite Surah Al-Fatiha or not?"

Abdullah bin Shaqiq reports: I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the voluntary prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night. It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray nine rak'ahs at night.

Hazrat Aisha says that I know best how the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite the Talbiyah, then she repeated the words of the Talbiyah: Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayk La Sharika Laka Labbayk, Innal Hamda Wan-Ni’mata Laka

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) has offered Witr in every part of the night, and his Witr also reached up to the time of Suhoor.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that when the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah "which are related to usury" were revealed, the Prophet (peace be upon him) proceeded towards the mosque, recited them, and also declared the trade of alcohol to be forbidden.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that sweet water used to be brought from water sources for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to drink.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three types of people are exempt from accountability—the pen is lifted from them and no ruling is applied to them: first, the sleeping person until he wakes up; second, the child until he reaches puberty; and third, the insane person until he regains his senses.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me, "Pick up the mat from the mosque and give it to me." I said, "I am in my days (of menstruation)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah! Will you remember your family on the Day of Judgment?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Not at three places: at the time of reckoning, near the scale of deeds, and at the Bridge of Sirat."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that regarding this verse "The Day when the earth will be changed to another earth..." I was the first to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about it. I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (When the earth is changed) where will the people be at that time?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "On the Bridge of Sirat, and this is a question that no one from my Ummah before you has asked me."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not use to pray in our "shi'ar". Bishr says that "shi'ar" refers to the garment that is worn on the body underneath the outer garment.
