Abu Khalaf, who was a freed slave of Banu Jumah, says that he was present with Ubaid bin Umair in the service of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa, who was near the spring of Zamzam, and at that time there was no shade anywhere else in the entire mosque except there. She said, "Abu Asim," meaning Ubaid bin Umair, "welcome! Why do you not come to meet us?" He replied, "Out of fear that you might become weary." She said, "You should not do so." Ubaid said, "At this time I have come to you to ask about a verse—how did the Prophet (peace be upon him) recite it?" She said, "Which verse?" Ubaid said, "Is the verse like this: الَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا أَتَوْا or like this: الَّذِينَ يَأْتُونَ مَا أَتَوْا?" She asked, "Which of these two recitations do you prefer?" Ubaid replied, "By Him in whose hand is my soul, I prefer one of these recitations more than the whole world and whatever is in it." She asked, "Which one is that?" Ubaid replied, "الذین یاتون ما اتوا." She said, "I bear witness that the Prophet (peace be upon him) also recited this verse in this way, and in this way the verse was revealed. But in spelling, both are the same letter (their root is the same)."

Hadith 24643
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to relieve himself, and Hazrat Umar stood behind him with a bowl of water. After finishing, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Umar! What is this?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! This is water for your ablution." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I have not been commanded that I must perform ablution every time I urinate, because if I start doing so, this act will become Sunnah."
Hadith 24644
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The prohibition of fosterage is not established by sucking milk from a woman's breast once or twice.

Muhammad says that once Hazrat Aisha stayed at the house of Safiyyah Umm Talhah al-Talhat, and she saw that some girls, though having reached puberty, were praying without head coverings. So Hazrat Aisha said, "No girl should pray without a head covering." Once, the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to my house, and at that time there was a girl under my care. The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave me a sheet and said, "Divide it into two parts and distribute it between this girl and the girl under the care of Umm Salamah, because in my opinion, both of them have reached puberty."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that a Jew from Banu Zuraiq, whose name was Labeed bin A'sam, cast magic upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), as a result of which the Prophet (peace be upon him) would think that he had done a certain thing, although he had not done it. One day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed for a long time, then said, "Aisha! Whatever I asked Allah, He has informed me about it. Two men came to me; one sat by my head and the other by my feet. Then the one sitting by my head said to the one sitting by my feet, or vice versa, 'What is the ailment of this man?' The other replied, 'He has been bewitched.' He asked, 'Who has done the magic?' The other replied, 'Labeed bin A'sam.' He asked, 'In what things was the magic done?' The other replied, 'In a comb and the hair that falls from it, and in the cover of a male date palm's cluster.' He asked, 'Where are these things now?' The other replied, 'In the well named "Aruwan".' After seeing this dream, the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to that well with some of his companions, and after returning, told Hazrat Aisha, 'O Aisha! The water of that well looked as if it was the color of henna, and the trees near it looked like the heads of devils.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Why did you not set it on fire?' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'No, Allah has granted me well-being, and now I do not like to spread evil and mischief among the people.' Thus, at the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), all those things were buried.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the following question was presented to the Prophet (peace be upon him): A man divorced his wife, she married another man, that man was alone with her but divorced her before consummation—will she become lawful for her first husband? One of her companions said, "You should keep going; when the Muslims see you, perhaps Allah will bring about reconciliation among them through you." Once, Sa’d bin Hisham came to Umm al-Mu’minin Hazrat Aisha and asked her about the prayer of the Prophet (peace be upon him). She said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray eight rak’ahs at night and would make the ninth rak’ah witr, and he would pray two rak’ahs sitting. Hazrat Aisha also mentioned ablution, saying that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would wake up for prayer, he would order water for ablution and a miswak to be brought. When the blessed body of the Prophet (peace be upon him) became heavy, he would pray six rak’ahs and make the seventh witr, and he would pray two rak’ahs sitting, and continued in this manner until his passing. I asked, “I want to ask you about seclusion; what is your opinion on it?” Hazrat Aisha said, “Do not do so, because have you not heard Allah Almighty say: ‘We sent messengers before you and made for them wives and offspring’?” Therefore, do not become secluded. So he left from there and reached Basra, and after a short time set out towards “Makran” and was martyred there with the best of deeds.
