It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Take upon yourselves only as many deeds as you are able to bear, for Allah will not tire, but you will surely tire. And it was the practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that whenever he started a prayer, he would remain steadfast upon it, and the most beloved deed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) was that which was done consistently.

Hazrat Siddiq Akbar scolded them, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him, "Leave them, for every nation has a festival." Hazrat Aisha further says that once on the day of Eid, some Abyssinians were performing acrobatics in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him). I placed my head on the shoulder of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and started watching them by peeking, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) lowered his shoulder for me. It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned his intention to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. Hazrat Aisha asked him for permission to observe i'tikaf, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) granted her permission. So Hazrat Aisha ordered her tent to be set up, and it was set up. Seeing this, Hazrat Hafsa said to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to seek permission from the Prophet (peace be upon him) for her as well. She obtained permission, and upon Hazrat Hafsa's instruction, her tent was also set up. Seeing this, Hazrat Zainab also ordered her tent to be set up. Since the Prophet (peace be upon him) would return after offering prayer, that day when he saw many tents in the mosque, he asked, "What is this?" People informed him that these are the tents of Hazrat Aisha, Hafsa, and Zainab. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Do you seek righteousness by this?" I am not observing i'tikaf." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) returned, and after Eid, he observed i'tikaf for ten days in Shawwal.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw me and said, "Have your days (of menstruation) started?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah! And I think that women have been created only for evil." Soon Allah Almighty will clothe you with a shirt. If the hypocrites want to take it off, do not take it off until you meet me." This sentence was repeated three times. Hazrat Nu'man says that I asked her, "O Mother of the Believers! Why have you not mentioned this until now?" She replied, "By Allah, I had forgotten this matter; I did not remember it." He says that then I narrated this tradition to Hazrat Amir Muawiyah, but he was not satisfied with just my narration; rather, he wrote a letter to the Mother of the Believers, asking her to write it and send it to him. Accordingly, she wrote that hadith in a letter and sent it to Hazrat Muawiyah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The statement that turns out to be true is something that a jinn snatches by overhearing from the angels, then he conveys it into the ear of his companion like the sound of a rooster, and then the soothsayer mixes more than a hundred lies with it and narrates it further."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once during the Prophethood, there was a solar eclipse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the prayer place and began to pray, standing for a long time, then he bowed (ruku) and performed a long bowing, then before going into prostration (sajdah), he raised his head and stood for a long time, though this standing was shorter than the first one. Then he bowed again and performed a long bowing, though this bowing was shorter than the first one. Then he prostrated. Then he stood up for the second rak'ah and did the same as he had done in the first rak'ah, except that in this rak'ah, the first standing was longer than the second, and the first bowing was longer than the second. In this way, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) completed the prayer, and by then the solar eclipse had ended. Then he said: The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse because of anyone's life or death. Therefore, when this happens, immediately turn towards prayer.

Narrated from Aisha that once a woman came to her, and with her were her two daughters. She (Aisha) gave the woman a date. The woman broke the date into two pieces and distributed them between her two daughters (and did not eat anything herself). It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the other noble wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent Hazrat Fatima to the Prophet (peace be upon him). She sought permission to enter the house, at that time the Prophet (peace be upon him) was with Hazrat Aisha under her sheet. The Prophet (peace be upon him) granted Hazrat Fatima permission to enter. She came in and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Your noble wives have sent me to you, they request justice from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Beloved daughter! Will you not love whom I love?" She replied, "Why not." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said regarding Hazrat Aisha, "Then love her as well." Hearing this, Hazrat Fatima stood up and left, and informed the noble wives about the conversation that took place between her and the Prophet (peace be upon him). Upon hearing this, they said, "You could not do anything for us. Go to the Prophet (peace be upon him) again." But Hazrat Fatima said, "By Allah, now I will not speak to him about this matter again." Then the noble wives sent Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh. She sought permission, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) granted her permission as well. When she entered, she also said, "O Messenger of Allah! Your noble wives have sent me to you, they request justice from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." Hazrat Aisha says that after this, she (Zainab) started attacking me (with taunts). I kept looking at the Prophet (peace be upon him) to see if he would permit me to respond. When I realized that if I responded to her, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would not mind, then I started responding to Zainab and did not leave her until I silenced her. The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept smiling during this, then said, "She too is the daughter of Abu Bakr."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to supplicate in prayer: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the Antichrist (Maseeh Dajjal), and from the trials of life and death. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from sins and from debt." Once someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Why do you seek refuge from debt so frequently?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "When a person is afflicted by debt (and is indebted), he lies when he speaks and breaks his promises when he makes them."
