It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to me and a Jewish woman was sitting with me, and she was saying, "Do you know that you will be tested in your graves?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned towards us and said, "You will be subjected to the same trial as the Jews." After some time, one day the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me, "Do you know that revelation has come to me that you will be tested in your graves?" After that, I always heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave.

During the illness of death, the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) head was on my thigh when he fell unconscious. When he regained consciousness, the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) eyes looked towards the ceiling and he said, “O Allah! Join me with the Highest Companion.” I understood that this was the same thing the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say in a state of good health.
