Then my Lord will grant three more handfuls with His two hands." Qays said: I asked Abu Sa'd: Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) yourself? Abu Sa'd said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That, if Allah wills, will suffice for the Muhajirun of my Ummah, and Allah will complete it from among our Bedouins."

It is narrated from Muhajir bin Dinar (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Abu Sa'd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by Marwan bin al-Hakam on the Day of the House (Yawm al-Dar) while he lay wounded, and Abu Sa'd said: O son of al-Zarqa'! Had I known that you were alive, I would have finished you off. Abd al-Malik bin Marwan held this in his heart. When Abd al-Malik became caliph, Abu Sa'd was brought to him, and Abu Sa'd said: Remember the instruction of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abd al-Malik bin Marwan asked: What is that? He said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Honour those of them who do good, and pardon those of them who do wrong."
