حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِعَمَلٍ» ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا , إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you will enter Paradise merely on the basis of his deeds." The Companions said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Not even I, unless Allah covers me with His mercy and grace."
حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ بِعَمَلٍ» قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one will enter Paradise merely on the basis of deeds." حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ، ثنا كَامِلُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ» ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ»

The Companions said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Not even I, unless Allah covers me with His mercy."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Each one of you has a devil as a companion." The Companions said: You too, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I too, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he has submitted (become Muslim)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no one who does not have a devil as a companion." The Companions said: And you too? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I too, except that Allah has helped me against him."
