شريك بن طارق بن سفيان أحد بني ثعلبة بن ذبيان بن نغيض بن ريث بن غطفان
Sharik bin Tariq bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), of Banu Thalabah bin Dhubyan bin Baghid bin Rayth bin Ghatafan
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7187 — he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِعَمَلٍ» ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا , إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you will enter Paradise merely on the basis of his deeds." The Companions said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Not even I, unless Allah covers me with His mercy and grace."
