شريك بن طارق بن سفيان أحد بني ثعلبة بن ذبيان بن نغيض بن ريث بن غطفان
Sharik bin Tariq bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), of Banu Thalabah bin Dhubyan bin Baghid bin Rayth bin Ghatafan
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7191 — he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا لَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» , قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ , فَأَسْلَمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sharik bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Each one of you has a devil as a companion." The Companions said: You too, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I too, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he has submitted (become Muslim)."
