It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Surely there will come out of the fire of Hell people (too) who will be giving off a stench and whom the Fire will have scorched. Then they will enter Paradise through the intercession of the intercessors, and there they will be called by the name 'al-Jahannamiyyun' (i.e. those who were formerly in Hell)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) and several other Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My intercession on the Day of Resurrection is true and an established reality; so whoever does not believe in it will not be among those entitled to its blessings and good fortune."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' transmitted this narration in his Musnad. Its chain contains a narrator named al-Haytham bin Jammaz, whom the imams of criticism and accreditation (al-jarh wa al-ta'dil) have declared da'if (weak); however, the basic belief in intercession is definitively established by other authentic and mutawatir hadith.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Indeed the most honoured and esteemed of all the creation of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, in Allah's sight is Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him). Surely Paradise is in the heaven and Hell is in the earth. When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah Almighty will raise all creation group by group, and every prophet (with his nation), until Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the last of all creatures in station (i.e. the one to come after everyone). Then a bridge (the Sirat) will be laid over Hell, and then it will be called out: 'Where are Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah?' So he (peace and blessings be upon him) will stand (to intercede and lead), and his Ummah will follow behind him, including its righteous and its wicked (all of them)."
This narration is transmitted in Musnad al-Harith (Bughyat al-Bahith an Zawa'id Musnad al-Harith: 1111). Its chain contains a narrator named Abd al-Aziz bin Aban, who is a kadhdhab (liar) and matruk (abandoned), on account of which this chain is severely weak; however, some parts of it are supported by other authentic hadith.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection Allah Almighty will make Himself known to me (show me His manifestation), and I will perform a prostration in the divine court with which He will be pleased with me. Then I will praise and extol Him with such praise that He will be pleased with me. Then I will be given permission to speak. After that my Ummah will pass over the Sirat, which will be set up right over Hell (between its two sides), and the people will pass over it faster than the blink of an eye and an arrow, then faster than the finest thoroughbred horses, until a man will come out of it crawling on his backside; and this speed will be according to their deeds. At that time Hell will keep asking for more until Allah Almighty places His foot in it, whereupon it will shrink and its parts will close in on one another, and it will say: 'Qat, qat' (Enough, enough). And at that time I will be at the Pool." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is the Pool?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! Its drink is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, colder than ice and more fragrant than musk, and the number of its cups (vessels) is greater than the count of the stars of the sky. Whoever drinks from it once will never feel thirst, and whoever is turned away from it will never have his thirst quenched."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated it in his Musnad. Its chain contains the narrator Abd al-Ghaffar bin al-Qasim, who is severely weak and matruk (abandoned); however, supporting narrations for this hadith concerning the Sirat, the filling of Hell and the qualities of the Pool of al-Kawthar exist in other narrations of Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

If the pan of his deeds is heavy, that angel will call out in a voice so loud that all creatures will hear it: 'So-and-so has attained such eternal happiness and success that no misery or wretchedness will ever befall him after it.'
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him): "On the Day of Resurrection all the people will be gathered on a single level plain, where the caller will be able to make all of them hear his voice and every gaze will take in (the whole scene). The first one to be called on that day will be Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) will say (in the divine court): 'Labbayka wa sa'dayka, wa al-khayru fi yadayka, wa al-sharru laysa ilayka, wa al-mahdiyyu man hadayta, abduka bayna yadayka, ana minka wa ilayka, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilayka, tabarakta wa ta'alayta, subhanaka rabba al-bayt' (I respond to Your call and am ever ready to obey You; all good is in Your Hand, and evil is not to be ascribed to You; the rightly guided one is he whom You guide; this humble servant of Yours stands before You; my existence is from Your gift and my return is to You; there is no refuge and no deliverance from (Your reckoning) except with You; You are most blessed and most high; O Lord of the House, You are free of every imperfection). This is the station about which Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has said: "It may well be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station (al-Maqam al-Mahmud)" [Surah al-Isra': 79] (a lofty station where the first and the last will praise you)."
Imam al-Nasa'i narrated this hadith in al-Sunan al-Kubra (11270) and Imam al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak (3638), and Imam al-Hakim declared it sahih on the conditions of Imam al-Bukhari and Muslim.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Aqil al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) that I set out with the delegation of the tribe of Thaqif. We came into the blessed presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and stayed at his door. (Our state at that time was such that) among all people there was no one more hateful to us than this man (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)) whose presence we were about to enter; but when we left, that very personality whom we had visited had become the most beloved to us of all the people in the world. Then one of us said: "O Messenger of Allah, did you not ask your Lord for a magnificent kingdom like that of Sayyiduna Sulayman bin Dawud (peace be upon them both)?" On hearing this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and then said: "Perhaps your companion has with Allah Almighty a rank far more excellent than the kingdom of Sulayman. The truth is that whenever Allah Almighty sent any prophet, He granted him one supplication (with a special right of acceptance) that does not go to waste. Some of those prophets asked for worldly things with it and were given them, and some invoked it against their people when they disobeyed them, and they were destroyed because of it. And Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has granted me such a supplication too, which I have saved (and kept in reserve) as intercession for my Ummah before my Lord on the Day of Resurrection."
Imam al-Harith transmitted something similar through Abd al-Aziz bin Aban, Abd al-Jabbar bin Abbas al-Shibami and Awn bin Abi Juhayfah.
Imam Abu Ya'la mentioned it through the route of Zuhayr and Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Yunus.
Imam al-Bazzar narrated it on the authority of Abbas bin Abi Talib and Ahmad bin Abdullah, and he said: To our knowledge Ibn Abi Aqil has no other narration besides this.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he related (concerning the conditions of the Day of Resurrection) that the people will come to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and say to him: "O Prophet of Allah, you are the great personality through whom Allah Almighty began (religion and guidance) and with whom He sealed (the chain of prophethood), and Allah has forgiven you all your past and future shortcomings. You have come on this (terrifying) day completely secure, while you see our (distressing) state; so stand and intercede for us before your Lord." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will say: "I am the one you seek (who will take up this office)." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) will set out, gathering the people (with him), until he reaches the gate of Paradise. He (peace and blessings be upon him) will take hold of the ring (knocker) of the gate, made of gold, and knock, and it will be asked: "Who is this?" The reply will be given: "This is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)." So the gate will be opened for him (peace and blessings be upon him) until he presents himself before Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) will ask permission to prostrate and will be given permission. Then it will be called out: "O Muhammad, raise your head; ask and you will be given, intercede and your intercession will be accepted, and supplicate and your call will be answered." The narrator relates: Then words of praise, glorification and exaltation of Allah will be inspired in him (peace and blessings be upon him) such as were never before opened to anyone of creation. Then it will be called out again: "O Muhammad, raise your head; ask and you will be granted, intercede and your intercession will be accepted, and supplicate and your plea will be answered." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) will raise his blessed head and say: 'Rabbi ummati, rabbi ummati' (O my Lord, deliver my Ummah! O my Lord, have mercy on my Ummah!), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this plea two or three times. Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) will intercede for everyone in whose heart there is faith even to the weight of a grain of wheat, or of a grain of barley, or of a mustard seed; and this is the "Maqam Mahmud" (the most praised station).
This narration is sahih (authentic) and is narrated as mawquf.

Imam Ahmad bin Mani' narrated this hadith in his Musnad. Its chain contains narrators named al-Haytham bin Jammaz and Yazid al-Raqashi, who are da'if (weak) according to the majority of hadith scholars; however, there are many supporting witnesses and authentic narrations among the sahih hadith concerning intercession and release from Hell on the lowest degree of faith, which support this meaning.

Imam Ali bin Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from a man of knowledge that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Out of the greatness and majesty of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, the earth will be stretched out (on the Day of Resurrection) like leather, and at that time, owing to the severity of the crowding, no person among the children of Adam will have any space on the earth except the place of his two feet. Then I will be called first of all, and I will fall down in prostration (in the divine court). Then I will be given permission and I will say: 'O my Lord, this one informed me' - and Jibril (peace be upon him) will be on the right side of the Throne at that time; by Allah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) had never seen him (in his true form) before that - 'that it was You who sent him to me (with revelation).' At that time Jibril (peace be upon him) will be completely silent and will not say anything. Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: 'He has spoken the truth.' Then I will be granted permission to intercede, and I will say: 'Ay Rabbi, ibaduka abaduka fi atraf al-ard' (O my Lord, these are Your servants who worshipped You alone in the far corners of the earth). And this is the Maqam Mahmud (praised station) (mentioned in this verse of the Noble Qur'an: "It may well be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station" [Surah al-Isra': 79])."
Imam al-Hakim declared it sahih (authentic).
