Mention of Quraizah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said that on that day (at the time of the campaign against Banu Qurayzah) Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the judgement that every one (of the enemy fighters) over whom the razor had passed should be killed (that is, anyone whose puberty was confirmed by the sign of pubic hair having grown). At this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (endorsing and confirming his judgement) said: "You have certainly judged concerning them with the very judgement of Allah Almighty issued from above the seven heavens."
Imam al-Harith recorded it; in its chain, Muhammad bin Umar, Muhammad bin Salih, Sa'd bin Ibrahim and Amir bin Sa'd narrate from his father (Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Khawwat bin Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) to Banu Qurayzah to invite them (to the truth). They replied: "Our example is like that of a man who has two arms (or wings); then one of them is cut off and the other remains." So they flatly refused (to accept the invitation).
This narration is mursal, and its chain is sahih (authentic).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the matter of Banu Qurayzah arose, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Call your chief to me so that he may judge concerning these servants of Allah", and he (peace and blessings be upon him) meant Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator relates: When he came, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Give judgement concerning them." Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I fear that I may not arrive at the (exact) judgement of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, concerning them." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said again: "Judge between them." So he pronounced his judgement, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have judged exactly in accordance with the judgement of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger."
This chain is Kufan, and it contains two weak narrators, Jabir and Sufyan.

It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: "I have never forgotten that day of the Battle of the Trench when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was handing the bricks to the Companions, and (because of the severe toil) his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed hair was covered with dust, and at that time he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: 'Inna al-khayra khayru al-akhirah, fa-ghfir li-l-Ansari wa al-Muhajirah' (Indeed, the true good is only the good of the Hereafter, so (O Allah) forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirun)."
Imam Abu Ya'la and Imam Abu Khaythamah narrated this hadith, and the narration of the first chain is more comprehensive; and the hadith about the virtue of Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) has already passed.
