It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) came from Abyssinia into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "What was the most wondrous thing you saw there?" He said: I saw a woman on whose head was a basket containing food. A horseman galloping his horse passed by and struck her, so that her food was scattered. She sat down and began gathering her food, then she turned towards that rider and said: Woe to you on the Day when the true King sets up His Chair of judgement and takes the right of the oppressed from the oppressor! So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), confirming that woman's words, said: "That nation can never be pure (or: how can that nation be declared pure) whose weak member cannot obtain his right from its strong one without any hesitation, stammering, fear or harm."
The meaning of his words 'ghayra muta'ta'' is that no pain or harm should reach him that makes him uneasy or distressed, and the word 'ghayr' here is in the accusative because it describes the state (hal) of the weak one. The chain of this hadith is hasan (good). Imam Abu Ya'la and al-Ruyani also narrated it through Sa'id bin Sulayman. Imam al-Bazzar said: We do not know any other route for it besides this; and concerning Mansur, I do not know whether he heard from Ata' before his confusion (ikhtilat) or after it. However, Imam al-Hakim reported a corroboration of it through Amr bin Abi Qays from Ata' from Muharib. The hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) on this subject will come, if Allah wills, in the Book of the Day of Resurrection, and on this topic narrations are also reported from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Ibn Mas'ud and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with them).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That people can never be pure, sanctified and blessed in which the weak person is not given his right without any fear, hesitation or stammering."
I think that Imam Ibn Majah narrated it within a long hadith, so it should be looked up in the chapters on judgements (al-Ahkam) of his work.

It is narrated from Isma'il bin Abi Hakim that the rightly guided caliph Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, does not punish the general public for the (evil) deeds of a few particular individuals; but when sins and acts of disobedience begin to be done openly and are not condemned (that is, they are not stopped), then all people, common and elite, come within the grip and punishment of Allah."
Imam al-Humaydi narrated this athar in his Musnad (3317), and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

It is narrated from Abu Zur'ah bin Amr bin Jarir (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man came into the noble presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and began demanding from him (peace and blessings be upon him) repayment of his debt of dates. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him for some respite, but he flatly refused to give respite. At this the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with them) scolded and rebuked him, so he said: "I make it a burden upon you that I should leave Madinah in a state in which I am still seeking my right from you. By Allah! I will not return to my land until more is plundered from it than what I am demanding from you." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent word to a woman of Banu Sulaym called Khawlah in order to borrow dates from her. She sent dates to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and sent word: If you like these, we have as much of them as you wish. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that man: "Do you want to take these dates?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go, measure it and take your full right." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him), addressing the Companions, said: "This man was more in need of your help and support (in obtaining his right) than I, and I was more in need of your urging me to fulfil my trust." And he further said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty never purifies and elevates a nation that does not help its weak," or he said: "that does not make its weak strong (by securing his right)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), concerning the incident of Marwan (bin al-Hakam) having a pulpit made, that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever sees an innovation, let him change it."
Imam al-Harith bin Abi Usamah narrated this hadith in his Musnad; the narrator Abu al-Fadl included in its chain is an elderly shaykh of Wasit, and this narration is one route of the well-known command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the removal of evils and innovations in the religion.

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal narrated it in his book al-Zuhd; the narrator Sharik bin Abdullah al-Qadi in its chain is not free of criticism on account of the weakness of his memory, but this athar from a Companion of the Messenger holds an important place in the chapter of abstinence and piety.

Musnad Ahmad bin Mani': 3304; its chain contains Husayn bin Qays (Abu Ali al-Rahabi), who is extremely weak, being matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith); however, witnesses for this meaning exist in other books of hadith.
