It is narrated from Imam al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that at the time of slaughter he used to recite this supplication: 'Bismillahi wallahu akbar, Allahumma laka wa minka, taqabbal min fulan' (In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this sacrifice is for You alone and from what You have provided, so accept it on behalf of so-and-so).
And Imam Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say whatever he wished (before the slaughter), but when he slaughtered, he would say (only): 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah).

(One of the narrators of this hadith) explained: by "akhbarani 'Ayn" (that is, 'Ayn informed me), (Abu al-Sha'tha') meant Ikrimah.
