Musaddad narrated that Abdullah bin Dawud narrated to us from Thawr bin Yazid, from al-Salt (may Allah have mercy on him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The slaughtered animal of a Muslim is lawful, whether he mentioned the name of Allah Almighty (when slaughtering) or did not mention it; and the reality is that if he did mention (a name when slaughtering), he mentioned only the name of Allah (for a Muslim does not mention anyone else's name)."
