وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَيْنٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : إِذَا ذَبَحَ الْمُسْلِمُ وَنَسِيَ أَنْ يَذْكُرَ اسْمَ اللهِ تَعَالَى ، فَلْيَأْكُلْ فَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ فِيهِ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللهِ تَعَالَى " .
قَالَ : يَعْنِي بِقَوْلِهِ : " أَخْبَرَنِي عَيْنٌ " : أَيْ عِكْرِمَةُ .
قَالَ : يَعْنِي بِقَوْلِهِ : " أَخْبَرَنِي عَيْنٌ " : أَيْ عِكْرِمَةُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "When a Muslim slaughters an animal and forgets to mention the name of Allah Almighty, let him eat (from that slaughtered animal), for the very being of a Muslim is linked to one of the Beautiful Names of Allah Almighty (for example 'al-Salam', from which the words 'Islam' and 'Muslim' are derived)."
(One of the narrators of this hadith) explained: by "akhbarani 'Ayn" (that is, 'Ayn informed me), (Abu al-Sha'tha') meant Ikrimah.
