وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْأَحْوَصِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ذَبِيحَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَلَالٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُسَمِّ مَا لَمْ يَتَعَمَّدْ ، وَالْعَبْدُ كَذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Rashid bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The slaughtered animal of a Muslim is lawful, even if he did not mention (the name of Allah when slaughtering), as long as he did not do so deliberately; and the slave is likewise (his slaughter is also lawful)."
