The enormous size of the disbeliever in the Fire

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The people of Hell will be made so huge in Hell that between the earlobe of one of them and his neck there will be a distance of seven hundred years' journey, the thickness of his skin will be seventy cubits, and his skin will be like Mount Uhud."
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; their chains contain Abu Yahya al-Qattat, who is da'if (weak), and there is disagreement about him; the rest of its narrators are more trustworthy than he is.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "In Hell, the buttocks of the disbeliever will be the extent of three days' journey, each of his molars will be like Mount Uhud, his thigh will be like the mountain called 'Warqan', and his skin alone, apart from his flesh and his bones, will be forty cubits."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the molar of the disbeliever will be like Mount Uhud, the width of his skin will be seventy cubits, and his seat in Hell (meaning his buttocks, or the place where he sits) will be as large as the distance between here and 'al-Rabadhah'." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it, but he narrated these words: "The thickness of his skin will be forty cubits," whereas here the words are: "It will be seventy cubits."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Rib'i bin Ibrahim, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Yazid bin Hayyan al-Taymi states: I, Husayn bin Sabrah and Umar bin Muslim went to Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), and during that gathering Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to us: "A man from the people of Hell will be made so huge for Hell that one of his molars will be like Mount Uhud." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Ahmad recorded it as part of a long hadith, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Mujahid states: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Do you know how vast Hell is?" I replied: "No." He said: "Yes indeed, by Allah, you do not know that between the earlobe of one of the people of Hell and his neck there will be a distance of seventy years, and valleys of pus and blood will be flowing in it." I said: "Rivers?" He said: "No, rather valleys." After that he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Anbasah bin Sa'id, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The molar of the disbeliever will be like Mount Uhud, and the thickness of his skin will be forty cubits, by the cubit of al-Jabbar (that is, Allah Almighty)."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Abbad bin Mansur, who is da'if (weak), though he has been declared trustworthy; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
