بَابُ عِظَمِ خَلْقِ الْكَافِرِ فِي النَّارِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " ضِرْسُ الْكَافِرِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ، وَعَرْضُ جِلْدِهِ سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا ، وَمَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ مِثْلُ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الرَّبَذَةِ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " وَغِلَظُ جِلْدِهِ أَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعًا ، وَهُنَا سَبْعُونَ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the molar of the disbeliever will be like Mount Uhud, the width of his skin will be seventy cubits, and his seat in Hell (meaning his buttocks, or the place where he sits) will be as large as the distance between here and 'al-Rabadhah'." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it, but he narrated these words: "The thickness of his skin will be forty cubits," whereas here the words are: "It will be seventy cubits."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Rib'i bin Ibrahim, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
