Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O people, weep! If you cannot weep, then make yourselves weep, for the people of Hell will weep in Hell until their tears flow down their faces like streams, until when the tears run out, then it will begin to flow," the narrator said: meaning blood, "then pits will form in the eyes, such that if ships were set loose in them, they would sail." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah recorded part of this narration.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; the weakest narrator in its chain is Yazid al-Raqashi, and despite his weakness he has been declared trustworthy.
