بَابُ عِظَمِ خَلْقِ الْكَافِرِ فِي النَّارِ .

وَعَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ : أَتَدْرِي مَا سِعَةُ جَهَنَّمَ ؟ قُلْتُ : لَا قَالَ : أَجَلْ وَاللَّهِ مَا تَدْرِي أَنَّ بَيْنَ شَحْمَةِ أُذُنِهِمْ وَبَيْنَ عَاتِقِهِ مَسِيرَةَ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا ، تَجْرِي مِنْهُ أَوْدِيَةُ الْقَيْحِ ، قُلْتَ : أَنْهَارًا ؟ قَالَ : بَلْ أَوْدِيَةً ، فَذَكَرَ الَحْدِيثَ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عَنْبَسَةِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Mujahid states: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Do you know how vast Hell is?" I replied: "No." He said: "Yes indeed, by Allah, you do not know that between the earlobe of one of the people of Hell and his neck there will be a distance of seventy years, and valleys of pus and blood will be flowing in it." I said: "Rivers?" He said: "No, rather valleys." After that he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Anbasah bin Sa'id, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
