Admonishing the elite and others

Al-Hakam bin Mina' states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): Gather for me the people of Quraysh who are here. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gathered them, and then he said: O Messenger of Allah! Will you go out to them, or should they come in? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, I will go out to them. Then he came out and said: O people of Quraysh! Is there anyone among you who is not one of you? They replied: No, except our nephew (a sister's son). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The sister's son of a people is one of them. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people of Quraysh! Know that the closest of people to the Prophet are the pious. So consider carefully, lest on the Day of Resurrection people come with deeds and you come with the world, carrying it, and I turn my face away from you." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Indeed, the closest of people to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet, and those who believe; and Allah Almighty is the Protector of the believers."
Abu Ya'la recorded it as a mursal narration; its chain contains a narrator, Abu al-Huwayrith, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and more than one declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O children of Qusayy! O children of Abd Manaf! I am the warner, death is the destroyer, and the Hour is the appointed time."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Dimam bin Isma'il, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O son of Adam! Act as though you are seeing, count yourself among the dead, and beware of the supplication of the oppressed!"
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator who has not been named, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Ali bin Yazid, who has been declared trustworthy.

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the Messenger of Allah to you. Know that the return is to Allah Almighty, and then to Paradise or to Hell. It is a residence from which there is no moving on, and an eternity in which there is no death, in bodies that will not die."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its narrators have been declared trustworthy, except that Ibn Sabit did not meet Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him); however, in it he said: from Ibn Sabit, who said: Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up among us.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Today is the day of entering the race, and tomorrow will be the day of the result. The final end will be Paradise or Hell, and the one who is ruined is he who enters Hell. I am the one who goes ahead first, Abu Bakr comes after that, Umar comes after that, and the other people follow behind us rank by rank."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Asram bin Hawshab, who is matruk (abandoned), and the chain of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat contains al-Walid bin al-Fadl al-Anazi, who is extremely da'if (weak).
