Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The two guardian angels present to Allah Almighty what they record in a day. If Allah Almighty sees seeking of forgiveness at the beginning and at the end of that record, Allah Almighty says: 'I have forgiven My servant for the matters between the two ends of this record.'"
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Tammam bin Najih, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others called him da'if (weak), and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Hadith Takhrij«أخرجه المعجم الأوسط للطبراني برقم: 2418، وأخرجه سنن ابن ماجه برقم: 3816، وأخرجه مسند البزار برقم: 3123»
In one narration, in place of "I seek forgiveness", the words are "I repent". Al-Tabarani recorded all these narrations in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and along with him Abu Ya'la and al-Bazzar also recorded them. The chain of the narration with the words "I seek forgiveness" is hasan (good), and in the narration with the words "I repent to Allah Almighty", the narrators of one of Abu Ya'la's two chains are the narrators of the Sahih.

I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty one hundred times in a day and a night."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Kathir bin Sulaym, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Dalham (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me a deed by which I may enter Paradise. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not become angry, and you will have Paradise. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me something more! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty seventy times in the day before the sun sets, and Allah Almighty will forgive your sins of 70 years. He said: I do not have seventy years of sins. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then your father's (sins too will be forgiven). He said: My father does not have seventy years of sins either. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then your household's (sins will be forgiven). He said: My household does not have seventy years of sins either. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then your neighbours' (sins will be forgiven).
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
