Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17586

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I am a man with a foul tongue, and most of my foul speech is directed against my family. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why do you not seek forgiveness? I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty one hundred times in a day and a night."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Kathir bin Sulaym, who is da'if (weak).
