وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : " مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) transmits this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty one hundred times in a day and repent to Him."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Ibn Majah recorded this report, but he did not record the words "100 times".
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih.
