Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Whoever repents a year before his death, his repentance is accepted; and whoever repents a month before his death, his repentance is accepted." The narrator says: until he mentioned a day, until he mentioned an hour, until he mentioned a brief moment. The narrator says: A man asked: What is your view if he was a disbeliever and then became Muslim? He said: I am only narrating to you what I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Al-Tabarani recorded in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from this same Companion

Abd al-Rahman al-Baylamani says: Four of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered together. One of them said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of His servant even a day before he dies." The second Companion asked: Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. So the second Companion said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of His servant even half a day before he dies." The third Companion asked: Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. So the third Companion said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of His servant even as long before his death as the forenoon (the time when the day has risen after sunrise)." The fourth Companion asked: Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. So the fourth Companion said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of His servant as long as the death rattle has not come upon him."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Abd al-Rahman, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no believing servant who repents to Allah Almighty a month before death but that Allah Almighty accepts his repentance; and if he does so even less than that, a day before his death or an hour before, while Allah Almighty knows his repentance and his sincerity, then Allah Almighty accepts his repentance." Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: Al-Tirmidhi recorded from this same Companion
this narration: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of the servant as long as the death rattle has not come upon him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Yahya bin Abdullah al-Babalutti, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Shall I not narrate to you something on the authority of "a Messenger Prophet" or "a revealed Book"? (It is this:) "If a servant commits every sin and then repents to Allah Almighty a day before his death, Allah Almighty accepts his repentance."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Shall I narrate to you something on the authority of "a revealed Book" or "a Messenger Prophet"? (It is this:) "Whoever repents before being struck by the illness in which he dies, his repentance is accepted, and this will remain so until the sun rises from the west."
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a narration of Abu Fa'id from Rib'i, and I do not know Abu Fa'id; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
