Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty grants a slave some blessing in the form of family, wealth or children, the person should recite: 'Ma sha'a Allah, la quwwata illa billah'
(What Allah has willed (has come to pass), and nothing can happen except with the help of Allah Almighty.)
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: Such a person will not see any calamity befall it, short of death." Then he recited this verse:
"And why, when you entered your garden, did you not say: What Allah wills (comes to pass); there is no power except with the help of Allah Almighty?" [Al-Kahf: 39]
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Malik bin Zurarah, who is da'if (weak).
